Who uses the Learning Resource Center?

The Learning Resource Center is here for any student with a desire to improve their grades. The LRC offers help with a range of academic support services including study skills, 写作, 数学, time management and more. The LRC offers a variety of seating configurations to provide a comfortable atmosphere for individual study and group work. Writing Assistance Hours

Writing 辅导 is happening by appointment only. Appointments can be either in person or virtual and may be made 24 hours in advance. Schedule an appointment

Academic Support Team

The Academic Support Team is a one-on-one partnership between designated, experienced faculty and staff members and individual students in need of additional academic support. Such students include those who want to take advantage of additional assistance, those deemed at-risk or those with probationary status. 除了, Woods Online students receive academic assistance through the Virtual Academic Support Team (VAST). The Learning Resource Center offers individualized and group tutoring by appointment for many campus classes. Woods Online students receive assistance with online tutoring for many online classes.

College Success Courses

LC 112 and 113 enhance academic success and life skills through the development and reinforcement of essential strategies in studying, 测试以, written and oral communication, time management and more. The strategies and skills learned in LC 112 and 113 will be transferrable and applicable to all future courses at SMWC and will allow students to gain confidence in their ability to be successful at SMWC and beyond.
